Open to all owners and horses from the Ballyoch Ex-racehorse program, along with other OTTB horses and riders, this three-day training clinic with the Ballyoch team will assist riders in learning general training principles for your horse, including:

  • their horses individual traits, skills and abilities. 
  • how to keep their horse safe for riding and handling. 
  • one-on-one coaching in discipline of rider’s choice.

This event is a great opportunity for riders to get some coaching from Patrick and Nora before the show season begins!

When is it?
The next clinic will be held on February 5th, 6th and 7th 2021, 9:00am-5:00pm daily.
What will the clinic involve?

  • Groundwork, including join up. Maintaining a well mannered and safe horse for handling.
  • Maintaining a soft and responsive ridden horse both within an enclosed area and out in the open.
  • Working with each individual rider/horse combination, focusing on specific personality traits or concerns held by the rider.
  • Coaching in the specific discipline/disciplines each horse and rider will be continuing with (showjumping, dressage, flat work with Nora Eranpalo and campdrafting, polo with Patrick Herde).
  • Riding out on trail rides.

How much will it cost?
The clinic is FREE for anyone who has purchased their thoroughbred through Ballyoch. For others who would like to take part with their OTT thoroughbreds the fee is $500.

Ballyoch’s current HORSES FOR SALE are eligible for this clinic.
